<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">Prema mi&scaron;ljenju Harolda Frosta (<a href="#lit1">1997</a>), preduslov za nastanak osteoporoze je poremećaj receptora za mehaničko naprezanje u kostima &#8211; <a href="http://www.sportizdravlje.rs/wp/?p=97">mehanostata</a>, koji izmedju ostalog utiče i na proces mineralizacije kosti.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Utvrdjeno je da se mehanostat može uspe&scaron;no stimulisati i vibracionim stimulansom. Eksperimentalno su utvrdjena dva načina uticaja na ko&scaron;tanu gustinu vibracijama:&nbsp;</span></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><img decoding="async" class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-463" src="http://www.sportizdravlje.rs/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/osteopenija-i-osteoporoza-150x150.jpg" alt="osteopenija i osteoporoza" width="150" height="150" />U medicinskoj praksi ponekada nastaju zabune uzrokovane istovremenom primenom različitih klasifikacija, pa se dešava da isti naziv služi za različita stanja, ili da se isto stanje označava različitim nazivima. Jedan od takvih primera je i odnos osteopenije i osteoporoze.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Savremen način merenja gustine koštanog tkiva u cilju otkrivanja osteoporoze izvodi se  Dual X apsorpciometrijom (DXA). U pitanju su kompjuterizovani aparati koji pružaju i grafički prikaz percentila (odnos izmerenog rezultata sa teoretski očekivanim vrednostima dobijenih iz proseka populacije iste uzrasne dobi, pola i grube telesne konstitucije).</span></span><span id="more-97"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Takodje, ti aparati uspostavljaju dijagnozu osteoporoze (definisane kao statistički visoko značajno odstupanje od teoretskog proseka populacije) i osteopenije (definisane kao manje odstupanje od teoretskog proseka populacije). (<a href="#lit1">Rittweger, 2006</a>)</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">DXA metoda može da kvantifikuje samo deo biomehaničkih svojstava kosti: mineralni sadržaj kosti (bone mineral content, BMC) i prostornu mineralnu gustinu kosti (area bone mineral density, aBMD). Medjutim, trodimenzionalna geometrija (anizotropija) kosti se ovom metodom ne može detektovati. U tom smislu je neophodno napraviti razliku izmedju smanjene gustine kosti uz zadržavanje adekvatne aritekture koštanog tkiva, i narušenost i gustine i geometrije kosti. Prema definiciji Harolda Frosta (<a href="#lit2">1997</a>), ovo prvo stanje se naziva  osteopenijom a drugo osteoporozom. Drugim rečima, Frost tvrdi da razlika izmedju osteoporoze i osteopenije nije samo kvantitativna (gustina kosti) već nužno i kvalitativna.  U tom smislu, osteopenična kost je mehanički kompetentna za svakodnevna opterećenja, ali ne i za veće napore. Osteoporotična kost nema dovoljnu mehaničku nosivost ni za svakodnevna opterećenja, odnosno javlja se rizik od patološke frakture.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Ovo gledište je klinički veoma </span></span><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">primenljivo, jer je patološka fraktura najčešća i najteža komplikacija osteoporoze. Prema Frostovom mišljenju, preduslov za nastanak osteoporoze je poremećaj mehanostata, receptornog mehanizma u kostima koji detektuje mehaničko naprezanje tkiva, i kontroliše procese resorpcije i depozicije kosti, uključujući i mineralizaciju. Kao i druga tkiva, i kosti se adaptiraju na karakteristike mehaničkog opterećenja. Jedan od načina adaptacije je i stepen mineralizacije kosti. Naime, odavno je primećeno da kod trkača dugoprugaša i aerobnog vežbanja postoji smanjenje mineralne gustine kosti. Medjutim, ukoliko se izmereni podaci ekstrapoliraju u odnosu na izmenjenu kompletnu figuru sportista (njihovu konstituciju i indeks telesne mase), dobij</span></span><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">e se suprotan, logičan rezultat </span></span>(<a href="#lit3">Kemmler et al., 2005</a>).</p>
